"At this time of year leaves lose their colors, trees lose their leaves, and the plant kingdom goes gloomy. Pamela Isley is not unaffected by it all, leaving her best gal-pal Harley to cheer her up. She enlists Mistah J, so he’s jumping through hoops to make her buddy better, no matter the cost!"

Written by Derek Fridolfs and with gorgeous art by Dustin Nguyen, this is one of the best Poison Ivy stories ever and probably the best Lil Gotham issue. Nguyens watercolours are superb and the story is a very accurate psychography of Poison Ivy. In the first few pages the reader sees what Ivy sees. A beautifull world. Colours, smells, feelings. You see the world from her point of view. A fragile nature that needs to be protected. A work of art. Ivy's emotions change with the seasons. And Autumn of course is when she gets gloomy.

And when she gets gloomy, she needs the help of her lil friends to cheer her up.

I don't want to spoil the story. All i can say is that some of the panels could be works of art. This is a fairytale both for kids and grown ups.

And where a kid will read this as a story about a magic girl getting sad, a grown up will see a very human tale about depression and how it changes your mood and perspective.

In the end Ivy is not a woman filled with hate. She's a woman filled with love. Love that turns into passion. A passion to protect the unparalleled beauty of Nature. And Dustin Nguyens art is a celebration of nature. Four seasons. Four Moods.
